Administration
The
district of Pathanamthitta has two revenue divisions, viz., Thiruvalla
and Adoor. Besides Pathanamthitta consists of five taluks, viz.,
Ranni, Kozhencherry, Adoor, Thiruvalla and Mallappally in addition
to having sixty eight villages.
The
headquarters of the District Panchayat is at Pathanamthitta. The
Block panchayats are Parakode, Pandalam, Kulanada, Elanthoor, Konni,
Mallappally, Ranni, Koipuram and Pulikkeezhu. The number of grama
Panchayats in the district is 54. Adoor, Thiruvalla and Pathanamthitta
are the municipalities in the district.

Pathanamthitta
district does not have any full-fledged Parliamentary constituency
in its purview. The eight Assembly constituencies in Pathanamthitta
are segmented and made parts of different Parliamentary constituencies
. Adoor and Konni are made part of Adoor Parliamentary constituency.
Thiruvalla, Kolloopara, Aranmula and parts of Pandalam Assembly
and Ranni and Pathanamthitta are not yet unified in terms
of Parliamentary constituencies.
There are eight Assembly constituencies in this district.
They are : Pathanamthitta- Kallooppara- Pandalam- Ranni- Tiruvalla-
Aranmula- Adoor- Konni
